Job Description:

The base salary range for this position is dependent upon experience and location, ranging from: $142,000 - $204,000



Purpose:



The Project Processes & Compliance reports to the Sr Director of Project Management Office and is responsible for the following Project Management responsibilities for Onshore Renewables Projects Delivery that includes portfolio management and reporting, project compliance with ITC/PTC, Contract, Permits and PPA requirements, risk management, document management and processes and tools standardization and implementation.


This position will lead a team managing each of the areas under its responsibility and will coordinate with multiple departments and points of contact across the organization, making sure that the Projects Delivery team is working with optimized processes and tools to be able to performs and delivers in alignment with the quality, contractual, schedule and budget requirements.



Responsibilities:



  • Daily coordination with the Project Delivery team leaders to support and address the portfolio planning, control and reporting, risk & document control aspects of the project.


  • Responsibility for the portfolio management of schedule and budget, coordinating with and incorporating inputs from the Project Controls team and other areas to continuously track all project progress, expenses, and projections.


  • Responsible for Document Control to ensure implementation and compliance with Avangrid's Quality Management system.


  • Manage all project risks, creating periodic updates on spend projections, schedule deviations, and monitoring the associated mitigation plans.


  • Act as the execution team point of contact with internal stakeholders in regard to processes and SW tools.


  • Generate and coordinate the production of a set of reports to update all organizational levels on budget status, projections, and financial metrics.


  • Lead the preparation of executive reporting and provide general support to the Construction management team. Present to the Executive Team on a regular basis.


  • Perform SOX control review and address all deficiencies with necessary remediation plans.


  • Identify and evaluate activities aimed at improving organizational or departmental processes, managing the Procedure and Process Manager.


  • Inform management of deviations from established processes or schedule updates which may impact business outcomes.


  • Play an effective senior leadership role in the company, to help build effective teamwork and help improve overall company performance. As a senior leader, help to create an environment for ideas and innovations to be explored, challenge work practices in a constructive and positive way, and help support staff across the company to grow in their roles and achieve their potential.


  • Assist in the identification of Roles and Responsibilities within each Project Discipline and assist in the preparation of information flowcharts to capture the flow of data between groups, identifying and eliminating gaps and redundancies.


  • Work within existing frameworks and be able to identify current gaps in processes and to work with the team(s) to close these gaps working for solutions in the near and long term.


  • Assist in the development of the FEL Gate process, considering the P&Ps and identifying the roles and responsibilities within each gate.





Skills and Requirements:



Knowledge & Experience:


  • Bachelors' Degree in Engineering, Project Management or Construction, and a minimum of 10 years' relevant experience required.


  • Master's Degree or MBA preferred.


  • 10+ years of broad-based experience in the energy industry and contract/project management.


  • Experience in project and construction management, Health & Safety, and Quality Management Systems compliance.


  • Experience managing investment budgets and demonstrated knowledge of cost monitoring.


  • Experience with Project management Software tools.


  • Experience in Contract Management.


  • Document and risk management experience.


  • Renewable industry experience.


  • Demonstrated experience working in a large multi-faceted utility organization with varying goals, customers, and stakeholders.

  • Proven ability to work in a complex environment with many competing priorities and stakeholder demands.


  • Strong focus on budget compliance, identification of savings opportunities, and implementation of project performance mechanisms.


  • Strong business orientation and excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.


  • Proficient at Microsoft Office package, particularly Excel and Power Point.


  • Proficient at Microsoft Project/Primavera and project scheduling principles.


  • Self-starter that can work independently and motivate internal and external resources to meet key project deliverables. Particularly interested in "can-do" attitude and a passion for commercial success.


  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work across multi-functional teams and with senior management.
