Job Description



The IT Systems Engineer will provide technical expertise and support to the systems infrastructure of Keystone Cooperative. This role will be responsible for designing, maintaining, and supporting all aspects of the company's on-premises and cloud infrastructure. The role will also serve as an escalation point for the support/help desk team on issues that require advanced troubleshooting.


The IT Systems Engineer will work with the entire IT staff and core divisions to continually evaluate and find projects and solutions to expand and improve upon the IT infrastructure of the company through processes/technologies/services.



Responsibilities:


  • Design, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of all Keystone Cooperative IT systems infrastructure including but not limited to:



  • Windows and Linux Servers and Workstations

  • Hybrid On-Premises Active Directory/Domain Services and Microsoft Entra Environment

  • Backup and Disaster Recovery

  • Group Policy and Local Security Policies

  • VMWare Environment (VMs, Storage, Networking)

  • Microsoft 365/Entra (EntraID, Enterprise Apps, Cloud Infrastructure etc.)

  • Microsoft Intune (iOS/Android MDM, Entra and Hybrid Entra joined Windows workstations)

  • Hybrid Microsoft Exchange

  • Perform regular patch and update management on all IT infrastructure.

  • Monitor system performance, diagnose issues, and implement resolutions promptly.

  • Provide escalation and troubleshooting to IT support teams.

  • Work with IT security team to continually assess and implement security best practices across IT Infrastructure

  • Work with Network Engineer to help assess, diagnose, and resolve potentially high complexity troubleshooting across IT Infrastructure

  • Regularly work with multiple IT teams to discover and implement improvements to both on-prem and cloud systems and processes.

  • Maintain Systems documentation including diagrams, configurations, and processes.

  • Other related duties as assigned.




Skills and Qualifications



  • Strong knowledge and experience with the following technologies:

    • Microsoft Windows (Server and Workstation)

    • Active Directory / Microsoft Entra

    • Experience with Hybrid environments a plus

    • Device Management

    • Experience with Microsoft Intune a Plus

    • Backup and Disaster Recovery concepts and testing

    • Experience with Veeam a Plus

    • Virtualization

    • Experience with VMWare a Plus

    • Storage Arrays

    • Patch Management

    • Experience with WSUS and Intune Update Rings a Plus

    • Proven ability to seek out and find solutions to highly complex technical problems

    • Strong knowledge of scripting tools such as PowerShell preferred.

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization.

    • Relevant Certifications from Microsoft, VMWare, CompTIA Cloud+/Server+ are highly desirable.






Education and Experience:



  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, related field, or equivalent experience preferred.

  • At least five years of experience in Systems Administrator/Engineering role




Physical Requirements:



  • Prolonged periods at a desk and working on a computer

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times
