SUMMARY




Arcticom, a subsidiary of Bering Straits Native Corporation, is currently seeking a qualified In-Country (Togo)Senior Technical Lead Trainer (Logistics) for an international peacekeeping support contract that relies heavily on U.S. military, infantry training skills and contracted subject matter experts to provide training and assistance. The Senior Technical Lead Trainers will provide strategy, managerial, and administrative support to the Program Manager and In-Country Team Lead to fulfill the contract objectives.


This position may require travel to and within countries with security, health, and other potentially dangerous conditions.



Responsibilities




ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The Senior Technical Trainer shall have a minimum of 10 years of technical experience which includes a relevant blend of military skills, experience, knowledge, and current certifications that will enable that individual to successfully train specific task performance objectives. In addition to these minimum qualifications, Senior Technical Trainers shall have additional qualifications for the following tasks

QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION



To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential duty. The requirements listed beow are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.   • Minimum of ten (10) years of U.S. or NATO military experience, including service after September 11, 2001.
  • Demonstrated experience planning and providing tactical-level staff support to battalion and brigade-level soldiers and their systems (tactical logistics functions include manning, arming, fueling, fixing, moving, and routinely sustaining approximately 500-800 personnel)
  • Relevant military operations or foreign security force (police or military) capacity building experience in the last 5 years




PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:




  • At least one deployment to a combat, peacekeeping, or other contingency operation while serving in a logistics unit or assigned as logistics staff officer.
  • Minimum of fifteen (15) cumulative years of U.S. or NATO military experience, including combat arms battalion/brigade staff officer experience on a U.S. or NATO military staff.
  • Attainment of military grade of O4 and higher (or NATO equivalent).
  • Battalion and/or brigade staff experience while deployed to a combat, peacekeeping, or other contingency operation.
  • Regional experience in Sub-Saharan Africa

DOT COVERED/SAFETY-SENSITIVE ROLE REQUIREMENTS


  • This position is not subject to federal requirements regarding Department of Transportation "safety-sensitive" functions.


WORK ENVIRONMENT



Work Environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be borne by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.


The job is performed in an office setting with exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, mouse, and multi-line telephone system. The work described herein is primarily in a modern office setting. Occasional travel may be required.



SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES


  • This position is self-managed and works at the direction of the government and is directly related to the business operation supporting the customer's objectives.




ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS



As a condition of employment, you will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and have acceptable background check results. If applicable to the contract, you must also obtain the appropriate clearance levels required and be able to obtain access to military installations.
