RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead and manage the budget and forecast process, ensuring stakeholder involvement.
Monitor and track forecast and budget performance against actuals.
Develop and enhance variance reports for budget vs. actual insights.
Communicate variance reports and resource utilization updates to internal departments.
Analyze performance data, identify root causes, and prepare comprehensive reports.
Produce monthly performance summaries, trend analyses, and pricing/discount analyses.
Develop analytical models and proactive tools for performance monitoring.
Implement exception reporting to identify outliers in key metrics.
Enhance budget models for accurate and dynamic budgeting and forecasting.
Supervise staff, including daily activities, performance monitoring, mentoring, and training.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize cost efficiency and profitability.
Communicate complex financial information to executive stakeholders through presentations and written communication.
Monitor performance against targets and recommend adjustments.
Generate ad hoc reports and analyses for senior leadership.
Develop, maintain, and update templates for R&D contract reporting.
Prepare and track revenues and costs by programs.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
CPA or CFA certification
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics
Over 8 years of experience in analytical modeling and reporting
At least 4 years of supervisory or management experience
Proficient in transforming raw data into actionable formats for analysis
Excellent communication, organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
Compensation: $155,000 - $175,000 (dependent on experience and qualifications)
