Job Description:

Meta is looking for a results-driven Manager for our Mixed Reality Category Management team, which includes the Meta Quest portfolio across retail, telco, direct-to-consumer, and commercial channels. This role is focused on delivering sales results and driving growth by leading a team to develop category and channel strategies - aligned to a plan, execute, monitor & manage framework. Primary responsibilities include the development of the Go-to-Channel strategy, analysis of category performance, and lead multi-channel, multi-regional communication across hardware, accessories, and software product lines.This position can impact the delivery and growth of the Mixed Reality category to long term market leadership. The right candidate will possess a strategic mindset with a drive for results - as well as have the ability to effectively and proactively communicate cross functionally. In addition, this person will thrive in a fast-paced environment, be a self-starter, and have experience leading a team to consistently deliver sales performance. This role involves extensive collaboration and communication with cross-functional stakeholders to executive leadership to ensure successful development of the pricing, promotional, operational, and sales strategy for the Mixed Reality category.



Manager - Mixed Reality Category Management Responsibilities:



  • Take initiative and accountability to deliver sales results across the MR portfolio in a complex sales environment.

  • Lead a team to identify key performance levers and deliver strategic decisions.

  • Deliver on-time annual and seasonal go-to-channel strategies for sales performance, optimal channel execution, and resource efficiency.

  • Leverage action-oriented mindset and forums to identify gaps-to-goal for corrective actions and opportunities.

  • Marshall resources across people, funding, and support to get things done often with limited resources.

  • Leverage sales performance, analytics/data and market insights to drive narrative on MR performance outcomes on a weekly basis through appropriate global and regional forums.

  • Develop MR sales narrative by leveraging sales performance, competitive intelligence, and data and market insights.

  • Lead discussion and alignment of plan of record recommendations across global and regional forums.

  • Drives strategic category thought leadership internally and with strategic partners at various levels from individual contributors to executives.

  • Build effective teams, both direct and cross-functional, to efficiently plan and execute sales programs in a matrixed environment.

  • Hire, develop, and coach dedicated in-market category managers to meet organizational and individual career goals.

  • Deliver executive level understanding and awareness of distribution channel dynamics and strategic partner capabilities regarding the Mixed Reality category.

  • Lead global and regional sales meetings and present strategic insights, plans, and recommendations to a varied groups of audiences, including Sales Leadership, cross functional stakeholders, and the full Sales Org.

  • Excellent storytelling capabilities (communication skills) for both internal and external audiences

  • Work with our Operations and Sales teams to assess inventory allocation and demand planning inputs for seasonality, promotions and channel expansion.

  • Work with our strategic partners and internal cross functional teams to plan channel programs incentives including providing guidelines to optimize sales, profit & improve ROI.

  • Travel requirements: 20%





Minimum Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree

  • 10+ years of experience in Category Management, Merchandising, Product Marketing, Channel Marketing, Finance and Analytics or some relevant combination

  • 3+ years people management experience

  • Channel Partner external experience.

  • Effective communication and presentation skills, working with all levels of leadership

  • Experience understanding levers for driving change by channel, share and revenue in the category (e.g. on price, shelf presence, display, feature, promotions, convenience etc.)

  • Advanced skills with Google or Microsoft productivity tools





Preferred Qualifications:



  • Master's degree/MBA

  • Experience with multi-channel business, inclusive of consumer electronics retail, telcos, B2B Commercial resellers, and direct to consumer channels across online and B&M sales motions.

  • Experience with P&L management of $100 million plus annual business(es), with at least 3 years of direct P&L accountability/management experience

  • Experience adapting and supporting the organization through times of change

  • An entrepreneurial mindset

  • Experience precisely and proficiently conducting business and data analyses with data driven recommendations for improvements and advancements

  • Experience building various levels of strong ongoing customer and organizational relationships

  • Problem solving, project and program management skills

  • Experience understanding, translating and mapping strategic business and competitive priorities into analysis and deliver insights

  • Deeply values collaboration and experience communicating across varied stakeholders and influence without authority

  • Experience dealing with ambiguity, navigating through uncertain situations and quickly adapt to change

  • Experience with hardware, supply chain and multiple channels preferred
