Here’s What You’ll Get To Do



  • Must be able to coordinate daily route deliveries and assist drivers and customers with needs & questions.

  • Keep management informed with any pertinent information pertaining to employee, customer or production issues that may arise.

  • Train and supervise drivers in:  Glass Handling, Lifting, Loading/Unloading, Safe Driving, Fuel Spills, Accident Procedures, DOT Regs., Truck Inspection, Customer Service and Communication skills.

  • Serve as “go to” resource for drivers on all issues – mechanical problems with trucks, accidents, delays, material shortages and breakage, hours-of-service, DOT inspections, etc. 


    • Communicate & Coordinate with Office Manager & CSR’s.


  • Work to establish key performance indicators (KPI’s) throughout the trucking fleet to ensure key metrics are understood and being met and if not, why.

  • Responsible for Information Technology tools (IE: Keep Truckin, Dashcams, Scanners, Company Phones). Work with IT to minimize tools needed while maximizing driver efficiencies.  

  • Conduct driver meetings quarterly or more frequently if needed.  Use Keep Truckin DashCam data for training, driver feedback and in support of these meetings to reinforce good practices while identifying non-desired practices that could be improved upon.  

  • Communication with Metal Department TEAM Leaders to ensure upcoming project / jobsite orders are coordinated appropriately and onto correct delivery trucks & trailers. 

  • Coordinate A-Frames, crates or any other packaged order loading & deliveries (which trailers / trucks, Moffett needed, etc.) with Material Handling Supervisor.

  • Coordinating & communicating with Material Handling Leadership for efficiently retrieving & returning empty re-usable A-Frames that are in condition for re-use. 

  • Work with Sales TEAM to evaluate current customers as well as potential new ones.  If new customers are to be assigned, ensure all onboarding procedures and checks are in place. 

  • Assess the loads on each route daily, weekly, monthly.  Determine if current route set up is justifiable or if reductions / adjustments are warranted to maximize truck loading percentages,   Evaluate the routes also for overloading.

  • Assign drivers to routes or special job site deliveries.  Compare expected time to actual time, and investigate differences in follow up meetings with drivers.  Use Keep-Trucking to stay informed about hard stops, speeding, excessively long stops, potential customer delays. 

  • Take periodic trips with drivers to assess driver performance, route efficiency and customer situations. 

  • Verify payroll records daily.  Manage overtime.

  • Manage the truck and van fleet maintenance.  Schedule preventive maintenance with Ryder Fleet Maintenance staff.  Coordinate unscheduled maintenance items with Ryder.  Coordinate any windshield repair or body work with our insurance carrier.

  • Conduct truck inspections & coordinate in-house maintenance with Plant Maintenance Supervisor.

  • Conduct annual DOT review.  Coordinate drug/alcohol tests.  File and retain drivers’ logs, DOT paperwork, maintenance records.

  • Make sure truck spill kits, accident kits, first aid kits, and bloodborne pathogen kits are present and in good repair.

  • Audit delivery paperwork and driver compliance with IMA and delivery acceptance procedures.  Act on deficiencies reported by billing person.

  • Approve and schedule all drivers’ vacation and personal time.  


The pay range for this position is $23-$24/hour.


Here’s What We’re Looking For



  • Must have the ability to confidently use a computer to enter data and set up machine to cut and score the glass

  • Must have strong attention to detail to ensure glass is cut and scored properly to match specified work orders

  • Must have one or more years of experience with machine operating

  • Must have the ability to inspect the glass properly

  • Must be self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team environment

Physical Requirements



  • Must have ability to lift, bend, twist, walk and reach frequently

  • Must have ability to lift up to 75 lbs.

  • Must have close visual acuity to perform duties and responsibilities

  • Must have ability to work inside a warehouse that is not climate controlled (protection from weather conditions but not from temperature changes)
