This job will have the following responsibilities:
Phlebotomy: Conduct blood draws and transfusions on blood donors and patients.
Waived Testing: Perform waived testing procedures as required.
Processing: Prepare the testing room with necessary tools and materials.
EKGs: Administer electrocardiograms (EKGs) when needed.
Manifesting: Label blood samples accurately for further analysis in medical laboratories.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements:
High School Diploma or Equivalent: Candidates must have completed high school education or GED.
MAP License: Possess a valid Medical Assistant Phlebotomist (MAP) license.
Experience: One to two years of experience as a Phlebotomist is required.
Effective Puncture Techniques: Familiarity with proper blood draw techniques.
Patient Identification Methods: Understand legal requirements related to drawing blood, handling fluid samples, and using relevant medical equipment and materials.
Additional Information:
Shift Hours: The Phlebotomist's shift typically runs from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Workdays: They will work Monday through Friday.
Dress Code: Attire can be either scrubs or casual wear.
Scrub Color: Any color is acceptable.
