SUMMARY



The Technical Strategic Advisor provides capture and business development support to the CNI Federal Services Business Development (BD) and Proposal Teams, LLC Managers, and CNI executive staff. Cultivates, sustains, and maintains key relationships within the industry of Cyber/Space Technology within the Department of Defense (DoD) and across military organizations. Assists the team in identifying potential opportunities and strategically positioning sales opportunities for capture. The Technical Strategic Advisor will accomplish these goals by using subject matter expertise (SME) and come to CNI with an existing knowledge of the customer, their requirements, and points of contact within each of the customer targets. This is a part-time position.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



Essential duties and responsibilities include the following.


Supports business development activities according to strategic account plans.


Performs all duties as authorized by the Federal Services Executive VP and COO, or other CNI Senior staff designated by the Federal Services Executive VP and COO.


Develops strong relationships across the ecosystem of the DOD, top defense contractors, and commercial business leaders. Strategically positions CNI as an industry leader to support this exploding tech market, government/military mission set, and works with industry partners to develop winning strategies.


Provides leadership and direction to CNI team employees, partners, subcontractors, and vendors to facilitate collaboration and synergy in goals, objectives, and deliverables of client engagements.


Implements and maintains a stakeholder engagement coordination work plan and develops and submits content in response to data calls throughout the opportunity lifecycle process.


Integrates information obtained from stakeholder engagement into CNI Business Development.


Facilitates and participates in meetings to drive capture.


Prepares a report of monthly stakeholder team meetings to include upcoming and recently past meetings.


Provides strategic and operational reviews to enhance customer engagement.


Performs other duties as assigned.


Responsible for aiding in own self-development by being available and receptive to all training made available by the company.


Plans daily activities within the guidelines of company policy, job description and supervisor's instruction in such a way as to maximize personal output.



EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE



Bachelor's degree and a minimum of twenty (20) years' relevant experience working in a professional business environment, or equivalent combination of education/experience.



CERTIFICATES/LICENSES/REGISTRATION



This position may require the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

Functional understanding of the federal capture process with ability to draw out business and technical requirements.


Operational knowledge and understanding of federal government business cycles, acquisition lifecycles, and RFQ/RFP bid processes.


Knowledgeable of various aspects of government programs with ability to present viable solutions related to current or potential customer needs.


Working knowledge and understanding in the use of gap analyses.


Ability to organize work, set priorities, manage multiple projects simultaneously and maximize personal performance through time management.


Excellent written and verbal communications skills with knowledge and ability to utilize appropriate grammatical skills at a professional level.


Advanced proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Visio, etc.).


Ability to work and communicate effectively with all levels of management and coworkers, as well as a wide range of people with diverse backgrounds.


Ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as to accept direction on given assignments.


Ability to handle highly sensitive and confidential information with exceptional discretion.

LANGUAGE SKILLS



Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.



MATHEMATICAL SKILLS



Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.



REASONING ABILITY



Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.



PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Work is primarily performed in an office environment. Regularly required to sit. Occasionally required to stand, walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Exposed to general office noise with computers printers and light traffic.
