Title- Systems Integration Engineer
Team- IT Data Services

As a Systems Integration Engineer, you will deliver creative technical solutions for a wide range of systems integration challenges by leveraging various tools and platforms to create solutions following best practices and development standards in a DevOps environment. You will be heavily engaged in all aspects of the systems integration development life cycle, providing continuous delivery with high software quality. Some of the duties that are included in this position: 



  • Designing, developing, and implementing integration/testing strategies for complex systems.

  • Meet stakeholder expectations for data quality and timeliness of delivery with a low error/failure rate. 

  • Collaborate with the teams and/or vendors to select appropriate design solutions to ensure the compatibility of systems components. 

  • Communicate with management and other stakeholders the status of any integration requests/projects, opportunities, and problems.

  •  Monitor the system dashboard and/or email notifications, and address any issues that may arise.

  •  Balance the prioritization between new requests, maintenance/support requests and break/fix incidents.

  •  Troubleshoot and provide technical guidance/support for the development of integrations and interoperability issues.

  •  Create and maintain documentation for integrations including design specifications, installation instructions, and other related information.

  •  Perform related duties as assigned to successfully fulfill the mission of the team.

Required Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field, AND:



  • 12 months experience in systems integration or a related technical field.


Equivalency Substitution: Will accept 48 months related experience in lieu of the Bachelor's Degree for a total of 60 months related experience.

  • Demonstrated ability to learn new skills quickly and a keen interest in keeping up with the latest technology

  • Excellent problem-solving skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Attention to detail and ability to write clean code

  • Good time management skills. Able to manage priorities and meet deadlines

  • Work well with others

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products


Certifications: None


Advertised Physical Requirements:



  • Physical: Sits for prolonged periods of time.  Use of a computer. Manual dexterity. Communicate effectively and listens.

  • Environmental: Office Work Environment.


Departmental Preferences:



  •  Boomi Integration experience.

  •  API experience in both writing and consuming.

  •  Experience with Oracle, MS SQL Server, or other RDMS.

  •  Basic linux command line experience.

  •  SVN or other versioning software experience.

  • Familiarity with Java, Groovy, HTML, JavaScript.
