Overview
This is a seasonal position through early November 2024. On Island Basic Housing and Meals provided at $17/day.
Are you an experienced and detail-oriented accounting professional seeking a rewarding opportunity in the hospitality industry? Look no further! Join our team as a Director of Accounting and play a pivotal role in managing our financial operations. The Director of Accounting will provide leadership and guidance to the location's accounts payable, account receivable and income audit team. The leader will ensure timely and accurate record keeping, as well as processing of revenue and invoice payments. Anticipating revenue/cost problems and collaboration with stakeholders to resolve is essential. All financial processes will be audited and monitored to ensure hotel profitability and compliance with accepted practices, standard operating procedures and policies.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
One year of accounting experience in the hospitality industry
Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Experience with financial reporting and analysis
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Experience with accounting software and systems, such as QuickBooks and Oracle
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
