Key Responsibilities:

Tropicana Brands Group is looking for a highly qualified Packaging Equipment Engineer to support the Supply Chain Engineering team to ensure the company's goals and initiatives are met.

This role will be responsible for improving the performance and reliability of packaging equipment throughout TBG. Expected travel will be <10% per year. Tropicana is looking for a critical thinker with exceptional communication, influencing and relationship management skills who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Assisting the plant operations and maintenance team with technical expertise


• Work directly with operations team to utilize productivity tracking tools such as Zarpac to improve reliability and TE performance.


• Troubleshoot equipment, optimize performance, increase reliability, and improve line efficiency.


• Evaluate minor stops and provide root cause analysis


• Interfacing with OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) to ensure sound solutions.


• Manage installation contractors, vendors, and OEM Service Technicians


• Project Management and Contractor Management


• Specify and recommend Packaging Equipment and Components


• Enforce applicable machine safety standards & Tropicana Standards


• Work within cross functional teams to deliver critical business initiatives

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree required in Mechanical Engineering, Packaging Engineering, Industrial Engineering or other applicable engineering degree with relevant work experience.


• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Consumer Product Packaging Machinery, with a focus on efficiency improvement and reliability. Food and Beverage experience preferred.


• Most be familiar with many aspects of high-speed packaging (primary and secondary) including; Liquid Filling, Labeling, Inspection, Case and Tray Forming, Shrink Wrapping, Conveying, and Palletizing.


• Must be located in Bradenton, FL or willing to relocate to Bradenton, FL for the duration of employment


• Strong written and verbal communication skills to support building strong internal and external relationships and effectively communicate your work product


• Experience planning and leading strategic initiatives
