Innovative Defense Technologies (IDT), provider of automated software testing, data analysis, and cybersecurity solutions for complex, mission-critical systems in the US Department of Defense (DOD), is seeking a Network Engineer to be based in our Fall River office.



Overview:



We are seeking a seasoned Network Engineer with a robust background in Cisco technologies and a passion for cybersecurity. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of network architectures and be adept at developing and implementing comprehensive security protocols. This role is designed for a proactive individual who excels in creating and maintaining secure network infrastructures, has a sharp eye for detecting vulnerabilities, and understands the intricacies of risk management frameworks. This is a fully on-site role based out of our Fall River, MA office.

Responsibilities Include:



  • Design, configure, and manage complex networking architectures using a variety of Cisco devices.

  • Administer Cisco ISE, including policy configuration, network access control, and integration with other security systems.

  • Conduct in-depth network security assessments and audits to proactively identify and address vulnerabilities.

  • Implement robust security measures, ensuring compliance with the highest standards of network security.

  • Provide expert-level troubleshooting and problem resolution for network and security-related issues.

  • Lead initiatives to enhance network performance, reliability, and scalability while maintaining security compliance.

  • Monitor and perform ongoing maintenance on servers and network equipment within datacenter environments.

  • Respond to and resolve hardware and software issues in a timely manner, ensuring minimal downtime.

  • Design and implement network solutions that meet business objectives and SLAs.

  • Utilize advanced debugging techniques and tools to diagnose network problems and ensure system reliability.


Minimum Required Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a relevant field of Engineering.

  • A minimum of 5 years in network administration, with extensive experience in managing and securing complex network infrastructures.


Required skills:



  • Proficiency with Cisco networking devices and security solutions, including hands-on experience with Cisco ISE for network access control and policy enforcement.

  • 3 - 5 years of hands-on experience working within Cisco cli, troubleshooting, implementing and configuring.

  • Debugging experience within a Network Infrastructure.


Preferred skills:



  • CompTIA Security+ certification (Level 2)

  • Proven experience in network design, including the ability to comprehend and create complex network maps and drawings.

  • Strong troubleshooting skills with a track record of diagnosing and resolving network issues efficiently under time pressure.

  • Cisco certifications such as CCNA, with a strong preference for candidates with specialized knowledge in Cisco ISE.

  • CompTIA Server+ or Network+ certification, or similar, would be advantageous.
