We are seeking someone with either a TOOL BUILD ASSMEBLY BACKGROUND or TOOL BUILD AND MATERIAL LOGITICS BACKGROUND WITH STRONG SAP.
Location: Novi, Michigan
Responsibilities:
Lead daily manufacturing activities in a low-volume, high-complexity environment.
Achieve key performance indicators (KPIs) and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Drive organizational change and act as the point of contact for manufacturing activities.
Collaborate cross-functionally within a project-based structure.
Key Duties:
Optimize resource allocation and ensure safety within the assigned area.
Manage manufacturing processes to meet delivery time, quality assurance, cost containment, efficiency, productivity, energy conservation, and waste minimization targets.
Foster continuous improvement by actively participating in Kaizen activities and implementing 6S practices.
Develop operator skills, define training needs, and support professional growth aligned with evolving technologies.
Collaborate with Plant Manufacturing Engineering and Logistics teams to solve technical challenges and communicate results effectively.
Basic Qualifications:
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a manufacturing supervisor or team leader (open to more experience).
Flexibility to work any shift, including weekends, based on business demands.
Demonstrated expertise in continuous improvement strategies.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Business, or related field.
5 years of experience as a manufacturing supervisor or team leader.
SAP experience.
Background in machine tooling or body welding assembly.
Familiarity with working in a unionized workforce.
Experience with 6S (5S) or similar continuous improvement methodologies.
