Job Description:

The Assistant Controller will support the financial operations across TVS SCS NA, playing a crucial role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance, and strategic financial planning. This position will be instrumental in optimizing financial processes and supporting the overall financial health of the company. This position will report to the Corporate Controller.

Essential Functions

Assist with and coordinate an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year-end close process ensuring transactions and financial reporting are in accordance with IAS/IFRS and internal and corporate level policies.Management and review of accounts receivable and accounts payable departments.Assist in the preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for all TVS SCS NA sites.Assist in the coordination and execution of internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with IAS/IFRS and other regulatory requirements.Oversee financial aspects of inventory procurement and management, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting.Conduct detailed cost analysis and provide actionable insights to improve operational efficiency and profitability.Maintain and optimize financial systems and software, ensuring data integrity and streamlined processes.Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial reporting, control, and efficiency.Assist in developing, maintaining and ensuring all corporate and accounting policies and procedures are documented and followed by the organization.Support the quarterly forecasting and annual budgeting process as needed.Work closely with cross-functional teams, including operations, procurement, and human resources, to support overall business objectives.

Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that an employee must meet to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear and sit or stand for prolonged periods of time. Regular use of hands and fingers to operate office equipment, including keyboards, calculators, and phones. While rare, the associate may be required to lift 10-15 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include sustained focus on computer screens, spreadsheets, and other documents.

Work Environment
This job is performed in an on-site office environment. Occasionally, it will be performed inside a warehouse, which could be a busy environment with high forklift traffic. Warehouses are subject to seasonal temperatures. Steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, and vests may be required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
Full Time, Exempt, Hybrid. Schedule flexibility for extended or unplanned work hours is required.

Travel
Occasional travel may be required.

Education and Experience
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification preferred but not required.Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in a logistics or manufacturing environment.Proficient in Excel, including financial modeling.Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and advanced Excel skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly and concisely.Proven leadership skills with experience in managing and developing finance teams.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities effectively.
