Job Description:

Zelis has an opening for a Director, Disaster Recovery and Resiliency to design and implement systems and procedures for disaster recovery. This role ensures the protection of the company's data and IT infrastructure in the face of disasters or ransomware attacks, with a particular focus on the resilience of our technology platforms.


In this capacity, you will evaluate the disaster recovery capabilities of various products within our Business Units and the services provided by Zelis Enterprise IT. These services, which include offerings such as AWS, Azure, O365, Outlook, or SharePoint, are a collection of resources, tools, or applications designed to support Business Unit products or applications, which are vital in achieving the outcomes of our customers.


The Director, Disaster Recovery and Resiliency will also oversee the implementation and management of backup strategies and the consolidation of backup systems. This requires familiarity with Cohesity, Rubrik, Data Domain, Veeam, VCDR, Azure ASR, and/or AWS EDR.



Responsibilities



  • Formulate, maintain, and test disaster recovery plans.


  • Collaborate with Business Units and IT teams to ensure the continuity of critical systems in the event of a disaster.


  • Understand and apply the concepts of Backups, Immutability, and Failover in the context of Disaster Recovery.


  • Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure our disaster recovery strategies are effective and current.


  • Conduct training and drills to prepare staff for disaster scenarios.


  • Perform a thorough evaluation of the existing DR plans, pinpoint areas that need enhancement, and carry out the implementation of the improved plan.


  • Develop, implement, and manage a consolidation and standardization strategy for Disaster Recovery and Resiliency of supporting technology platforms and processes.


  • Evaluate and improve the organization's ability to respond to and recover from disasters such as cyber breaches, natural disasters, data loss, backup failure, and hardware failures.


  • Stay current with cybersecurity trends and threats and ensure the organization's resiliency platforms and processes are up to date.


  • Collaborate with IT and Business Units to ensure the continuity of critical systems in the event of a disaster or data incident.





Requirements:



  • Bachelor's degree


  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT to include the following experience:


    • 5+ years disaster recovery


    • 3+ years in cyber or data resilience or a related field




  • Experience managing onshore and offshore teams


  • Must have experience with one or more of the following: Cohesity, Rubrik, Data Domain, Veeam, VCDR, Azure ASR, and/or AWS EDR


  • Strong knowledge & understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices.


  • Experience in responding to and managing incidents.





Preferred:



  • Certifications in cyber resilience are a plus.
