SUMMARY: Drawing on a broad range of instructional and technical abilities, the Senior Content QA Analyst plays an instrumental role in ensuring quality across our proprietary and third-party products and providing functional support to the Curriculum Quality Assurance department.



ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Conduct content quality assurance testing on digital-based course assets across multiple points in the production cycle.

  • With strong attention to detail, review course assets for grammar, internal consistency, a11y, and adherence to style and design guides. Ensure LMS platform settings and functionality are correct. Produce a concise and complete deficiency report for the development team to use.

  • Work with the development and deployment teams to remedy any deficiencies or defects.

  • Support the Curriculum Quality Assurance Manager with various projects, contributing insights, and assisting as needed.

  • Effectively and clearly communicate project status, issues, and information, both verbally and in writing.

  • Identify emerging issues from the review process that may lead to new requirements that will need to be incorporated into future versions of process documents.

  • Assist in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting quality metrics and performance data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement, contributing valuable insights to project decision-making processes.

  • Support the Curriculum Quality Assurance Manager in training and onboarding new team members and/or vendors, providing guidance, resources, and hands-on assistance to ensure smooth integration and proficiency in project-related tasks.

  • Collaborate with the Curriculum Quality Assurance Manager to identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains within quality assurance projects, suggesting and implementing enhancements to optimize workflow and productivity.

  • Makes independent, creative contributions toward individual or departmental business objectives based on professional and company experience.

  • Own the development and upkeep of one or more ongoing projects, such as documentation, checklists, or something else assigned by the Curriculum QA Manager.

  • Assist with quality assurance audits and reviews, conducting thorough assessments of project deliverables against established standards and requirements.

  • Undertake additional responsibilities and tasks as assigned by the Curriculum Quality Assurance Manager or other relevant stakeholders, contributing to the overall success of quality assurance initiatives, and supporting the organization's broader objectives.

  • Independently work on whole projects and/or problems at times; should be able to rely on own resources to resolve problems.

  • Contributes effectively to cross-functional teams.

  • Adheres to Stride's defined policies and procedures.

  • Based on institutional experience, consistently and dependably produces results by applying specialized knowledge, skills, and experience.




Supervisory Responsibilities:



This position has no formal supervisory responsibilities.



MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
:



  • Bachelor's degree in instructional design, e-learning, or a curriculum-related field with 1-3 years of related experience; OR Equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, etc.); Web proficiency

  • Ability to clear required background check

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
:



  • Familiarity with the K-12 education space and/or online learning environment, with an understanding of curriculum concepts

  • Experience with creating and editing end-user content in SharePoint or similar knowledge base

  • A high-level understanding of robotic process automation and AI

  • Possesses a positive and proactive attitude, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment that inspires team members to excel and innovate

  • The ability to anticipate needs and issues ahead of time and react accordingly

  • Experience working with one or more Learning Management Systems (LMS).

  • Knowledge of tools, concepts, and editing/content QA methodologies.

  • Demonstrated experience training new staff on processes and procedures.

  • Experience providing a high level of detail while reviewing web-based materials for grammar, continuity, content completeness, a11y, and functionality.

  • Familiarity with WCAG accessibility standards

  • Experience in proofreading/copyediting content.

  • Experience with content management systems

  • Strong English grammar knowledge, including spelling, punctuation, and syntax rules.

  • Experience in reviewing/testing the functionality and usability of online content.

  • A passion for product improvement and user satisfaction is highly desired.

  • A flexible self-starter who can work effectively independently and as part of a team in a 100% online position and with a proven track record of meeting deadlines.

  • Ability to communicate project status, issues, and information effectively and clearly, both verbally and in writing

  • Detail and process improvement oriented

  • Experience with ticketing systems (e.g., JIRA, etc.)

  • Familiarity with the Chicago Manual of Style

  • Familiarity with communication tools such as Teams, Slack, Zoom, or similar.

  • This position is virtual and open to residents of the 50 states, D.C.


  • Compensation & Benefits: Stride, Inc. considers a person's education, experience, and qualifications, as well as the position's work location, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value when determining a new employee's salary level. Salaries will differ based on these factors, the position's level and expected contribution, and the employee's benefits elections. Offers will typically be in the bottom half of the range.


  • We anticipate the salary range to be $58,379.25.00 to $75,893.03.00. The upper end of this range is not likely to be offered, as an individual's compensation can vary based on several factors. These factors include, but are not limited to, geographic location, experience, training, education, and local market conditions. Eligible employees may receive a bonus. Stride offers a robust benefits package for eligible employees that can include health benefits, retirement contributions, and paid time off.
