Staff Accountant

CALIBRE Systems, Inc., an employee-owned Management Consulting and Digital Transformation company, is looking for a Staff Accountant to add to our Accounting team.

As the Staff Accountant, we are looking for someone who is able to do the following:

• Work closely with the Accounting Manager with the month-end and year-end closing process

• Prepare journal entries, monthly balance sheets, income statements, and internal profit and loss statements

• Ensure all Accounting tasks and financial records comply with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)

• Reconcile balance sheet accounts

• Support various audits

• Work on process improvements

• Other duties as assigned

  Please note: External Candidates will only be screened and interviewed if an Internal Candidate is not selected.

• Knowledge of general financial accounting

• Working knowledge of GovCon ERP systems (Deltek Costpoint)

• Proficiency with MS Office (specifically Excel)

• Effective oral and written communication skills

• Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  

• 3+ years of related experience

• BA/BS in Accounting and/or Finance from an accredited college/university (Other education along with commensurate experience may be substituted)
