Job Description Summary
This position performs a wide variety of instructional, evaluative, and project management functions for the National Criminal Justice Training Center (NCJTC) programs, projects, staff and associate employees. This position requires a strong subject matter expertise in the area of child exploitation, internet crimes against children or internet of things investigations. This position also requires a substantial understanding of industry-standard instructional techniques as well as adult learning principles. This position requires a strong ability to apply techniques and processes to develop, design, evaluate, and manage NCJTC federal grant and contract project activities, including eLearning, in-person training, technical assistance, conferences and other services.
Job Description
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Plan, develop, coordinate, manage, and monitor assigned project deliverables for NCJTC in accordance with direction provided by Operations Manager and applicable policies, procedures and guidelines.
Develop and design curriculum including learning objectives and lesson plans in areas of subject matter expertise.
Utilize subject matter expertise to provide instructional and professional services to evaluate, design and coordinate the delivery of training and technical assistance for assigned projects.
Lead onsite coordination efforts for the delivery of training and technical assistance in accordance with NCJTC policies.
Evaluate content and course curriculum, provide feedback, and mentor instructors to improve programs offered by NCJTC.
Coordinate with internal and external customers and vendors to develop program materials and achieve project goals.
Develop and convey classroom and eLearning instructional techniques to staff and NCJTC Associates to assist in the development and maintenance of high-quality and effective trainers and relevant curriculum.
As appropriate, develop, communicate, and monitor project budgets in accordance with project deliverables assigned and policies and in compliance with federal, state, and other financial guidelines.
Compose project materials including correspondence, reports, presentation materials and miscellaneous documents.
Perform other related duties as necessary for effective project administration supporting the best interest of the NCJTC and FVTC.
ANCILLARY (Secondary) DUTIES
Assists in the development of monthly, semi and annual project reports and other outputs as needed. Participates in team-based project activities and strategic planning initiatives. May serve as secondary point of contact for project communications with stakeholder groups.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED
Administrative and functional supervision is received from Operations Managers and/or Deputy Program Administrators.
SUPERVISION EXERCISED
Administrative and functional supervision of Associate employees.
QUALIFICATIONS, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's Degree in related field, AND
Minimum 5 years related, relevant occupational experience in child exploitation, internet crimes against children or internet of things investigations, AND
Minimum 5 year training law enforcement and other child serving professions, OR
An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience from which a comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired.
Experience with curriculum development/design, grant management, project management is preferred.
ESSENTIAL APPTITUDES, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS
Knowledge of instructional design, best practices, and adult learning theory.
Ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships with staff, vendors, and customers, including interaction with officials from the highest levels of local, state, tribal and federal governments.
Excellent time management and planning skills.
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
Extensive knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office Suite of products, particularly PowerPoint.
Willingness to travel up to 35% of the time. Flexible work schedule required.

Additional Information
Pay: $62,000.00 - $94,300 per year.
Pay is based on a multitude of factors, including experience, qualifications, education, relevant certifications, internal equity, and market data. Note: Internal applicants' wages will be based on the applicable compensation structure.
