Educational and/or Clinical/Didactic teaching background in one or more of the following is highly desired: Radiography/Radiologic Sciences
The program director must be responsible for:
1) the structure and daily operation of the program;
2) the organization, administration, periodic review and evaluation, continued
development, and effectiveness of program curricula; and
3) ensuring the effectiveness of all clinical affiliates is maintained.
Ensuring the effectiveness of clinical affiliates may be demonstrated through overseeing, monitoring, and communicating with the Clinical Coordinator regarding student clinical rotations, the number of cases, and completion of required competencies by all students.
Program Director Radiography Duties: Program Directors are selected to oversee the daily operations of programs and report directly to a
Division Director. Responsibilities of a program director are to work with the Division Director to:
1. Develop, implement and evaluate curriculum, including determination of teaching assignments, in conjunction with program faculty, to meet professional program accreditation and/or other educational standards;
2. Assure compliance with accreditation standards and develop, in consultation with the
faculty, all accreditation reports, self-studies and other communications;
3. Coordinate services for enrolled students, including student advisement and support
activities in conjunction with the program faculty, Office of Student Services, and the
University Admissions.
4. Coordinate student recruitment and selection activities with the program faculty, Office
of Student Services and University admissions and/or Graduate School.
5. Maintain student records as well as the office suite, laboratories, and equipment.
Position Overview
The primary responsibility of this position is the teaching in the Radiography Program for the Division of Radiologic Sciences and Therapy. Teaching will take place during the Spring, Summer and Autumn semester of 2024 (July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2027). This is a 100%, full-time, 12-month position. Teaching will occur with students in the Radiography program. The work assignments will be based on the curriculum of the Radiography program and the teaching needs of the Division.

Required: Bachelor's Degree and Registered Technologist (Radiography) credential
Experience in Radiologic Sciences and Therapy, training, and mentoring students in a variety of courses and laboratories in Radiologic Sciences. Experience in lab and didactic teaching in Radiography. Experience with the Canvas LMS.
Desired: Master's Degree; teaching experience including a record of intentional teaching practice including (a) creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for all learners, (b) using new techniques, activities and types of learning, (c) promoting diversity of thought, and (d) promoting open-minded exploration.

The Division of Radiologic Sciences and Therapy prepares students for rewarding careers in Radiography, Radiation Therapy and Sonography/Vascular Technology
. Radiographers are experts in the performance of examinations requiring the use of X-rays and are skilled in the use of highly complex computerized equipment. Their responsibility is to produce a quality X-ray image (radiograph) of the body's internal parts for diagnostic interpretation by a physician (radiologist). Graduates can apply for the national certification examination in radiography from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
