Description: Role Overview: As an Accounting Specialist, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks that contribute to the completion of our monthly accounting cycle. This includes journal entries, balance sheet account reconciliation, and other tasks necessary for financial closure.
Responsibilities:
Execute monthly accounting activities, ensuring all tasks are completed accurately and on time.
Conduct thorough preparation, analysis, and review of general ledger account reconciliations as part of the month-end closing process.
Carry out accounting and financial analyses to pinpoint key trends and support crucial estimates, such as accruals and reserves.
Work cross-functionally and act as a business partner to assist in the preparation and reporting of financial results.
Develop schedules to support reporting required for SEC disclosures.
Implement, document, and support the design and operational effectiveness of SOX controls.
Collaborate with both internal and external auditors during audits and reviews.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and lead initiatives to implement solutions that enhance process efficiency, standardization, system enhancements, and reporting capabilities.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Statistics.
A minimum of 4 years of experience in Accounting.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
