A day in the life.



As our Director of Business Insurance on our Leadership team, you'll help communicate the vision for the Dakotas Business Insurance division, driving the relentless pursuit of growth for the benefit of our clients and colleagues. This means developing, defining, and implementing short and long-term strategies for the Business Insurance sales division. You will work to achieve the division's strategic objectives through leadership, talent development, talent acquisition, markets/marketing process, and revenue production. This role is a key contributor to the marketing operations within the Dakota offices, ensuring the retention and acquisition of quality clients. Responsibilities include partnering with producers in technical placement, analytic, and account retention, act as an internal resource for coverage and market related issues. You will also work with our Industry Practice Group leaders in managing strategy and relationships with carriers specific to the Industry Practice Groups.

We'd love to meet you if your professional track record includes these skills:

• 10+ years of experience in business insurance industry


• Bachelor's degree in business, risk management or related field


• Thorough understanding of business insurance marketplace; demonstrated ability to lead application of technology solutions.


• Demonstrated ability to partner effectively with insurance carriers.


• Proven ability to interact with senior executives, to develop and gain support of a vision, and to operate effectively under pressure.


• Proven ability to manage multiple projects/initiatives and offer a strategic viewpoint to holistically ensure that MMA Dakotas' goals/objectives are achieved.

These additional qualifications are a plus, but not required to apply:

• Insurance sales experience
