As a Senior Systems Engineer at Metric5, you will provide System Engineering support to a major U.S. Army command to deliver information technology engineering and design services for a globally connected Army that offers Soldiers, Commanders and supporting organizations the ability to access, process and act upon information anytime, anywhere across DODIN.
Program Mission:
The project you will be working is to assist a DoD U.S. Army command with engineering and designing cybersecurity information technology systems. You will work directly with the stakeholders to elicit and support their requirements.

What we'd like to see...
Plan and conduct engineering projects concerned with research, design, and development of new or modification and improvement of existing equipment's and systems applicable to PM mission.
Apply the theories, principles, standards and information systems security methods and a working knowledge of the related engineering disciplines to evaluate system requirements, determine hardware and software design detail and performance characteristics necessary to meet operational requirements.
Recommend new designs and techniques leading to cost-effective system enhancement.
Analyze specific system requirements and design modifications or deviations in hardware or software subsystems to ensure fulfillment of user related needs and will adequately resist established and projected threat environments.
Full SDLC experience including Requirements, Solution Design, Delivery, Support and Decommission.
Understanding of Data Architecture and Data Analytics
Agile project management experience
Strong presentation, documentation, diagramming and technical writing skills
Proficient in multiple operating systems and multiple programming languages
Understands IP networking and network equipment.
Understanding of Cybersecurity concepts
Desired Skills:
Develop requirements for complex hardware solutions
Software development experience
Cloud experience is a plus.
Experience with cyber software such as Redhat and Splunk
Author cyber requirements/specifications
Consulting skills.
CISSP certification is a plus.
Years of Experience: 8+ years of experience or more
Education: Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline.
Location: Ft. Belvoir, VA. Some remote work is allowed.
Clearance: U.S. Citizenship required, and at least a DoD Top Secret Level Clearance
