Prudential’s Structured Settlements Business is seeking a Quoting Analyst. The Quoting Analyst will report to the Manager, Quoting and will be charged with working alongside the other members of the Quoting team to offer competitive quotes on annuities that are purchased through brokers for the benefit of physical injury claimants who have been awarded a settlement. This position will be located in Newark, NJ.
Primary Responsibilities
• Evaluate and deliver accurate and timely quotes within internal Service Level Agreements and to meet broker expectations.
• Work with management and internal pricing actuaries to provide best possible pricing to broker quote requests by making recommendations or decisions that have financial impacts to provide the most competitive quote.
• Process quote approvals and lock-ins within level of authority.
• Build relationships with external brokers and case managers through email and phone conversations.
• Gather data to better understand our competitive positioning on a quote and/or in the market.
• Act as brokers’ main point of contact for all inquiries from assigned firms.
• Become a subject matter expert on applicable procedures and underwriting guidelines and recommend service and workflow improvements.
• May be asked to travel to producer locations or attend producer firm and industry annual meetings.
Qualifications
• Minimum 3-5 years related experience, preferably in a financial services environment.
• Bachelors degree required.
• Structured settlements knowledge is a plus but not required.
• Customer focused – understands the importance of maintaining our customer base.
• Strong time management skills and the ability to adjust priorities to meet changing business needs.
• Must possess strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work as part of a team, but also requires the ability to work independently and provide timely results.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Must possess demonstrated analytical ability and strong math skills.
• Ability to travel (up to 10%)

Note: Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $90,100.00 to $134,100.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. Roles may also be eligible for additional compensation and/or benefits. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance. In addition, employees are eligible for standard benefits package including paid time off, medical, dental and retirement.
