As the Cabinet Shop Supervisor, you will be responsible for providing strategic leadership, leading teams, and ensuring the successful execution of construction projects. This role requires a seasoned professional with a strong background in carpentry or construction, proven leadership skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategic Leadership:
Provide overall strategic leadership for construction projects within the Carpenter's Building Association (CBA).
Develop and implement project plans in alignment with organizational goals.
Team Management:
Lead and manage a team of foremen, apprentices, and carpenters to ensure efficient and effective project execution.
Foster a culture of excellence, safety, and collaboration within the teams.
Project Oversight:
Oversee multiple construction projects concurrently, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders.
Carpentry Expertise:
Utilize advanced carpentry skills to contribute to project tasks and challenges.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the project teams.
Quality Control:
Implement and enforce stringent quality control measures to ensure the highest standards of craftsmanship.
Conduct regular inspections and audits of construction work.
Safety Compliance:
Lead safety initiatives and ensure compliance with safety protocols on all project sites.
Conduct regular safety training and promote a strong safety culture.
Communication:
Effectively communicate project goals, plans, and updates to project teams and stakeholders.
Collaborate with senior management to provide project status reports.
Material Management:
Coordinate the procurement, delivery, and use of construction materials on-site.
Implement efficient resource allocation and waste reduction measures.
Problem Resolution:
Address and resolve complex issues, conflicts, and challenges that may arise during construction.
Implement strategic solutions to keep projects on track.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of project progress, changes, and challenges.
Prepare comprehensive reports for executive leadership.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or equivalent; additional vocational training or certification in carpentry is a plus, or equivalent military or practical experience.
3-5+ years of experience in carpentry, with a focus on construction projects.
In-depth knowledge of safety regulations and construction standards.
Ability to successfully pass a background check post offer acceptance.
