The Role:
Entegris is seeking a technically/mechanically inclined, detail-oriented individual who takes pride in their work and wants to make a difference. You will join a dynamic team of operators, engineers and chemists whose main focus is to ensure our products meet the highest standards of safety and quality while meeting or exceeding our customers’ expectations.
In this critical role, you will be responsible for the preventative maintenance of critical production equipment. The ideal candidate will recognize the critical value of ensuring consistent execution of tasks while striving for continuous improvement.
Shift: 6:30AM-5:00PM, Monday-Thursday or Tuesday-Friday. Will be on call every 4 weeks.
Responsibilities:
Engage with an inter-disciplinary team of technicians to maintain facilities and Operations equipment;
Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repairs on facility, mechanical, electrical and other installed systems;
Perform facility inspections and reports on condition affecting operations;
Prepare summary reports of conditions in buildings and recommend actions to be taken;
Troubleshoot production issues with support from the maintenance team and/or engineering;
Walk the facility daily and look for abnormalities in the equipment;
Use the company operating systems process to document maintenance activities, time, and resources allocated;
Troubleshoot, components such as: contactors, switches, relays, controllers, pumps, and motors;
Perform duties in a safe manner and observe approved safety procedures;
Work as a team or independently as the tasks require;
Identify areas to improve or create PM procedures to reduce equipment failures;
Maintain a clean and safe work area;
Complies with all safety procedures and requirements;
Supports any afterhours building needs and activities as required.
Requirements:
3+ years’ previous mechanical work experience;
Proven knowledge of mechanical equipment and associated control systems including blowers, pumps, fans, compressors, cooling towers and chillers;
working in a hazardous chemicals environment strongly preferred;
Ability and willingness to work in confined spaces and at heights;
Astute attention to detail while managing multiple priorities in a safety-first environment;
Ability to adapt to change quickly and build relationships across diverse, cross-functional teams;
Effective verbal and written communication skills including familiarity with standard computer software such as MS Office;
SAP and PLC experience is a plus;
High School diploma/GED required;.
Familiarity with working in ISO 9000/14000 environments;
Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. and push up to 130lbs.
Dependability with flexibility to work over-time as needed to support business needs;
Safety focus with ability to wear appropriate PPE as required;
Ability to attain respirator certification and wear a cleanroom suit for the entirety of work shift.
