*This position is on-site at our location in Three Rivers, Mi.
In this role, the Application Engineer will be the direct contact and interface with both the representative and customer for the assigned division. The Application Engineer is responsible for providing customers and representatives with ongoing technical support for both before and after a sale. The Application Engineer will work closely with the Customer Service team, Product Engineers, Manufacturing Engineers, and Shipping department.



Key Responsibilities

• Support customers and representatives with sales quotes via telephone or email
• Act as primary point of contact for all service and installation technical questions
• Provide product training to our customers and representatives during Armstrong in-house training sessions or onsite sales calls
• Design applications to customers specific needs
• Communicate special customer requirements to production and track the order to ensure these requirements are met.
• Participate with New Product Development Team during all phases of new product development process.
• Verify that correct documentation for each product is supplied at time of order from our customers.
• Maintain quote/customer data base for internal use and statistical analysis



Key Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree (Engineering preferred) or Equivalent Experience
• Steam or Industrial Experience a plus
• Excellent written and oral communication at all levels of business
• Technical problem solver
• Effective and professional presentation skills for small seminar and training groups
• Ability to creatively explain and present complex concepts in an easy to understand manner
• Capable of prioritizing and meeting deadlines
• Ability to forge strong, long-lasting relationships with our customers and representatives
• Basic computer knowledge - MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, and Adobe
• Experience in analyzing statistical data preferred
• Ability to lead project from start to finish
• Willingness to train/learn the position if applicable.

• Physical and Mental stamina to stand, walk, lift, and adjust to the noise and lighting of the manufacturing environment.
