The primary purpose of this position is to plan, execute, and finalize projects according to deadlines and within budget as assigned by the Manager of Project Portfolio Management. This involves establishing a team of members who can effectively complete the project based on their skills, knowledge and experience with the subject and meeting with this team on a regular basis to track the progress and ensure the completion of the project. The Project Manager will be in charge of several projects simultaneously.
This position will allow the successful candidate to work a primarily remote schedule. Two days a week working onsite is required.
Responsibilities & Duties
Project Management
Form teams of experts required for effective completion of the project, document the projected resources, dates, and goals
Frame the purpose of the whole project and assign team members specific roles and tasks
Generate and manage a timeline and list of tasks and resources that describe the project in detail and plot important dates, meetings, and prospective finish
Developing and maintain cordial relationships with clients and team members, and serving as a link between both the parties
Manage the operation of all assigned projects and ensure that they are being conducted in a smooth and efficient manner
Prepare and present project reports on a regular basis to management
Conduct regular meetings with team members to discuss the status of the project and make necessary changes and improvements to achieve desired results
Manage problems that may arise within the project team or issues with the clients
After the project is completed, the project manager should conduct a meeting with the team to evaluate the entire project and to discuss the results
Project Portfolio Management
Improve timeliness and accuracy of Project Portfolio Management (PPM) dashboard by reminding teams of regular time entry validation in the PPM system
Manage initiative tasks, resource allocations, and time entry in the PPM system
Enter projects with accurate project dates, staff, and allocations in the PPM system
Internal Consulting
Enhance project execution through development of strategic recommendations & guidance for sponsors
Enhance development of solutions that address project needs through use of research
Regular review of policy papers, state contract requirements, policies and procedures
Minimum Requirements
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Organizational Development, Project Management, Human Services or related field and two years’ previous experience working as a Project Manager; or an equivalent combination of education and experience that provide the essential knowledge and abilities to perform the job.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is required within eighteen (18) months of employment.

Salary Range
$66,240 - $86,112/Annually
Exact compensation will be determined based on the candidate's education, experience, external market data and consideration of internal equity.
