Job Description:

EHS Coordinator

 

Job Summary 

This individual is responsible for the success of the site Environmental, Health, and Safety strategy. They will develop, implement, and drive continuous improvement strategies in all areas of EHS ensuring all relevant federal, state, local, and company standards are met.  

 

Key Duties: 


  • Promote Workplace Safety: Assist the EHS team in fostering a healthy and safe work environment at the designated facility by continuously improving and implementing safety practices, procedures, and guidelines as outlined by Voyant Beauty’s EHS team.


  • Guidance and Training:Provide daily guidance, education, and direction to employees and supervisors to ensure consistent and effective adherence to EHS procedures and guidelines.


  • Risk Management:Identify potential losses, evaluate risks, and develop action plans to prevent or mitigate these risks. Audit the effectiveness of these plans regularly.


  • Compliance Coordination:Collaborate with onsite staffing agency personnel to ensure compliance with Voyant Beauty’s policies.


  • Job Hazard Analysis:Review and update Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) as necessary.


  • Confidentiality:Handle sensitive information confidentially.


  • Regulatory Documentation:Maintain accurate and timely logs and documentation associated with permits and regulatory requirements. Support the environmental department by ensuring timely submission of applications and permit reporting requirements.


  • Incident Investigation:Participate in safety incident investigations, field audits, reporting, and corrective actions. Maintain organized and accurate filing systems for training, safety incidents, and investigations.


  • Travel:Travel to other local Voyant Beauty sites as needed.


  • Documentation and Inspections:File all necessary EHS documentation and conduct weekly emergency eyewash and shower inspections.


  • Contractor Oversight:Assist the EHS Team with contractor oversight.


  • Job Hazard Analysis and LOTO Procedures:Conduct JHAs and complete

 

  • Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.

 


  • Waste Management: Manage hazardous waste and internal waste approval processes.


  • Additional Duties:Perform additional tasks or assignments as directed by management.

 

Education and Experience Requirements: 


  • High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Experience operating a forklift is advantageous.

  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Teamwork: Ability to take direction and work closely with team members within and across departments with minimal supervision.

  • Analytical Skills: Experience in researching, analyzing findings, gathering data, compiling information, and preparing reports. Strong proofreading skills and attention to detail are essential.

  • Organizational Skills: Strong creative, organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills.

  • Multitasking: Ability to manage multiple timelines simultaneously and perform well in a multitasking environment.

  • Technical Skills: Strong computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office (Excel and Word), and Microsoft Teams.

  • Adaptability: Flexible to change and open to constructive feedback.
