The HR Coordinator will administer the organization's safety programs.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Collaborates with management to develop, prepare, and implement safety and security policies and procedures.
Coordinates the safety programs to promote and ensure a safe working environment.
Reviews current safety training and recommends revisions, improvements, and updates.
Identifies opportunities to minimize workplace injuries, accidents, and health problems.
Shares environmental safety information with appropriate levels in the organization.
Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local safety laws, regulations, codes, and rules.
Will coordinate FMLA, leaves and Worker's comp. leave.
Federal and State leave laws and related regulations.
Run weekly/monthly reports and support other HR functions as needed.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Knowledge of security protocols and emergency preparedness.
Knowledge of company safety policies and applicable Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
Ability to conduct training.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associates degree preferred.
At least 2 years' safety experience required.
Workers Compensation and FMLA Experience.
