Innovative Defense Technologies (IDT), provider of automated software testing, data analysis, and cybersecurity solutions for complex, mission-critical systems in the US Department of Defense (DOD), is seeking Associate Financial Analyst to join its Finance team. This position will be located in IDT's Arlington, VA office.
Overview:
The Associate Financial Analyst will serve as an analyst on multiple program activities requiring application of a wide range of qualitative and/or quantitative methods of assessment. They will be responsible for control functions including planning, tracking, forecasting, and analysis and reporting on projects. This individual may also be asked to perform Earned Value Management analysis on multiple projects, working with IDT Program Managers to develop baseline budgets, providing monthly status, and generating monthly reporting for management.The Associate Financial Analyst may support proposal pricing activity. The Associate Financial Analyst may provide supporting financial information to assist in contract negotiation.

Responsibilities Include:
Working closely with IDT Financial Analysts and Program Managers to develop reports and analyze performance metrics and programmatic documents against plans to ensure that contractual, cost, and schedule objectives are met.
Compiling and analyzing assigned contracts for projected staff hours, EACs, contract totals, revenues, and profit totals
Maintaining appropriate records and documentation
Supporting the IDT Finance team in providing financial reports for tracking, monitoring, forecasting, and reporting contract performance.

Minimum Required Qualifications:
BA/BS Degree in a related field
Required Skills:
Experience developing and maintaining cost models in Deltek and Excel
Self-starter with ability to represent function in cross-functional teams, communicate and meet deadlines.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with Costpoint Planning or comparable system for project management.
Experience with Earned Value Management systems, including COBRA
Current knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, policies and procedures, and GAAP
