Responsibilities

The Office of Admissions is a unit within the Division of Enrollment Management, which is comprised of four distinct units: Office of Admissions, Office of the University Registrar, Office of Financial Aid, and Technology Operations. Enrollment Management's integrated services provide distinctive support throughout the student's development and progression in their academic experience - from recruitment through commencement. Through collaboration, communication, and commitment, all units within Enrollment Management achieve the highest level of student-centered service to current and prospective students and families and to campus partners across the University.

Application Reviewer is a part-time, seasonal, remote position within the Office of Admissions for approximately six to nine months. Position is responsible for reading applications during the admissions review season from August through March. Application Reviewers read and evaluate applications and supporting materials to determine the admissions qualifications of individual applicants. This position participates in department-wide holistic review training with full-time and part-time admissions staff and is responsible for maintaining the privacy of the individual files reviewed.

File review will be conducted remotely during a time limited period. Employees must reside in the United States and have a home office with a personal computer with reliable high-speed internet access. Following a training period, Application Reviewers will be expected to work 15-20 hours a week and meet minimum file goals. Application review is done throughout the work week, with some opportunity to fulfill hours on the weekend. To avoid potential conflicts of interest, Application Reviewers may not currently be employed as a college counselor or be the parent, guardian, or immediate family member of a high school student planning to apply to college or employed by another university.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience reviewing high school or college admission applications, resumes, and/or employment applications


• Strong time management, organizational, and critical thinking skills, as well as independent initiative


• Ability to learn software applications specific to admissions and enrollment management (Slate)
