The Assistant Controller reports directly to the USA Group Controller. The position is responsible for various accounting and financial functions, including the monthly close process, monthly reporting, maintaining adequate internal controls, asset management, and financial analysis. The Assistant Controller will also be part of a team that creates procedures to make the close and reporting processes more efficient and accurate.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities: Play a key role in monthly accounting close process including analytical review of the monthly operating results to ensure complete and accurate accounting records are maintained. Preparation, review and approval of journal entries and account reconciliations. Accurate and timely production of monthly/quarterly/year-end financial reporting schedules. Implement, document and maintain adequate and effective processes to improve the cash applications, close and reporting cycles to ensure timely and accurate reporting. Proper analytical review of the operations from a balance sheet, income statement, bookings, and cash flow perspective as well as an overall business perspective. Support external financial audit. Manage Accounts Payable team. Complete ad hoc reporting requirements and data analytics. Train/manage general accounting staff.
