Job Description Summary
A Cage Welder will be responsible for the cutting, forming and welding of wire mesh and reinforcing steel to fabricate cages for concrete pipe. This individual will use ASTM standards to fabricate steel cages for concrete in a safe and efficient manner.
Responsibilities
Fabrication of steel cages for concrete
Execution of steel roller changeovers
Use of hand and power tools and lifting equipment
Perform welding operations (stick welding)
Other responsibilities may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed
Requirements
Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
At least 1 year of welding/steel fabrication experience or equivalent training
Ability to perform basic math skills such as reading fractions and a tape measure
Experience with industrial steel tooling such as vertical band saw, drill press, grinders, plasma cutter, and torches
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
Compensation
The hourly pay rate is $19.50 - $24.00/hr.
