Utilize electrical, mechanical, and or industrial maintenance experience to perform repairs in an extrusion operation
Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility’s equipment.
Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
Perform mechanical skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities.
Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions. Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.

Skill Sets Experience
Power and Controls Trouble Shooting – PLC and VFD Experienced
Precision Maintenance Experience – Alignment, Belts and Sheaves, Chains and Sprockets, Bearing Maintenance Including Best Practices with Installation and Tolerance Control
Welding, Cutting, and Fabricating – Mig, Tig, and Stick and Oxy-Acetylene
Pump and Gearbox Repair
5S Experience
Education and Certifications
Experience with a CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) and the ability to form and sustain efficient, positive working relationships with all levels of the organization
High school diploma/GED and completion of a craft apprenticeship, or an equivalent number of years of education and industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
Must have 1-3+ years’ of combined or specific experience in industrial maintenance, mechanical, mechatronics, and/or electrical with a heavy focus in electrical controls to include motor drives, temperature and pressure control systems, heaters, and understanding of PLC principles.
Strong knowledge of extrusion operations and support equipment to include blending and drying systems preferred.
CMRP (Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional) preferred
Must have good understanding of mechanical systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, pumps, Chillers, gearboxes, air compressors, piping and valves.
Qualification
Ability to lift at least 50 lbs. periodically
Ability to stand for long periods of time
Ability to use both arms and hands
Ability to bend and stoop frequently
Frequently exposed to light manufacturing conditions and extreme temperature
Work experience in related industry is an asset but even if you do not have this, we still want you to apply. On the job training will be provided.
