We are seeking an Sr. Accounts Receivable Sr. Analyst who is ready to play a critical role in shaping the future of our accounts receivable (AR) function as we prepare to centralize our invoicing and collection process. This position will lend their expertise to guide policy and process improvements across multiple established revenue centers and subsystems which are currently disconnected and require manual work to integrate. The position will support the AP/AR Manager by assisting in oversight of cash receipt and application operations, complete account analysis, AR entries and reconciliations. You are an Order to Cash expert with a desire to eliminate manual processes to focus on reporting and analysis. You understand the details of AR workflows.  You are self-driven and take initiative; your contributions to the team go beyond assigned tasks.  What you will be responsible for:


  • Oversee incoming payment workflows, cash receipt and application operations

  • Create AR and revenue journal entries for month-end close process

  • Prepare reconciliations of accounting ledgers with various subsystems

  • Create schedules and reports to support interim and annual audits

  • Develop and document improvements for policies, procedures, and processes.

  • Provide AR support for program areas, including invoicing and subsystem management

  • Identify process improvement opportunities and make recommendations to streamline AR workflows

  • Support AR systems transition to future state during ERP implementation process

  • Backup support for application of cash receipts to customer accounts in subsystems

  • Provide research, analysis and ad-hoc reporting as request

Qualified candidates possess the following:


  • Bachelor's degree required, accounting specific is strongly preferred

  • 7+ years AR experience in a corporate environment

  • Advanced understanding of accounting processes required

    • Reconciliations

    • Accounts Receivable - specifically order to cash business process

    • GL Account Analysis



  • Proven aptitude for systems, advanced Excel proficiency, including vlookup, xlookup, and pivot tables

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, conflict resolution, attention to detail, and written and verbal communication skills

  • Experience with mid-market/enterprise systems

  • A/R System implementation A PLUS!

Remote position details: When working remotely, you must be self-motivated, possess excellent time management skills, and be highly organized in an environment where shifting priorities are the norm.  A reliable internet connection is a must!  This position will require attendance at 2-4 on-site meetings (in Reston, VA) per year.

ACR is committed to a total rewards compensation philosophy that includes base salary in addition to our full suite of comprehensive benefits (https://www.acr.org/-/media/ACR/NOINDEX/HR/ACR-Benefits-Overview.pdf).  ACR’s goal is to pay competitively and equitably.  It is typical for individuals to be hired in the entry to middle of the range for their role, and compensation decisions depend on each case’s circumstances.  Full-time employees work a 37.5-hour work week, for a total of 1950 hours annually, furthering our commitment to a healthy work-life balance.  A reasonable estimate of the hourly compensation range is $60,050 - $80,050.
