Responsibilities:
Assemble, disassemble and/or modify systems by changing, removing, replacing or upgrading electrical/avionics components to correct failures or implement changes.
Inspect component before installation or usage to verify cleanliness and serviceability of components.
Fabricate and modify electrical systems according to specifications.
Perform tasks associated with the safe handling of an aircraft structure
Document procedures and established processes to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance (e.g., repairs, test results, applicable modifications and inspection results).
Demonstrate the capability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical orders, process specification, and retrofit requirements to perform electrical modification/repair.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED and typically 4 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. vocational school/Associate+2 years' related work, Bachelor, etc.).
Minimum of interim Department of Defense secret security clearance to start
Minimum of 3 years' with military fighter aircraft maintenance
Minimum of 3 years' with retrofit or modification programs
Experience installing aircraft modifications to include fabricating and installing aircraft electrical system wiring, connectors, electrical components or avionics boxes
