Job Summary

This role is responsible for the successful implementation of the CooperVision myopia management program into Eye Care Professionals (ECPs) practices. The Myopia Management Specialist acts as the subject matter expert in myopia management working closely with field sales and professional services to maximize myopia management opportunities through education, relationship building, marketing and sales support to each targeted office.    

In addition to the above duties, the Myopia Management Specialist demonstrates an expert level of client relationship management, business development, CooperVision product and sales understanding, strategic planning and coordination between his/her accounts and CooperVision.  This position requires “expert” level communication skills to partner and coach clients and sales team members. This role is brought into the client relationship by working closely with cross functional sales account executives in the assigned north-east territory, for the specific purpose of building a myopia management system, which encompasses all aspects of CooperVision’s myopia management products, that optimizes targeted patient engagement, patient education, consultation and follow up, to ensure successful treatment over the years of use, and growth of accounts myopia management practice.

As a Myopia Management Specialist, it is required to reside in the assigned territory (this role is for the Pacific Northwest US region and would need to reside in any of the following: Portland Metro; Seattle Metro; San Francisco Metro areas).

Essential Functions & Accountabilities:


  • Meet and exceed projected sales goals based on territory quota established by sales management for the given territory

  • Use of all Microsoft office suite of tools as well as CVI CRM solution at intermediate to advanced level

  • Influences sales process at expert level

  • Excellent organizational skills

  • Enthusiastic, engaged and supportive of all CVI initiatives

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

  • Effectively identify, evaluate and assimilate information to render quality decisions

  • Ability to make high-level presentations to various sized customer groups 

  • Strong ability to partner and coach internal sales team members and customers

  • Knowledge of contact lens industry

  • Knowledge and experience in optometry practice setting preferred

     

Work Environment:   


  • Minimum of 50% or more overnight travel within territory and working remotely otherwise 

Experience:


  • 7-10 years optical industry experience required

  • Experience in customer facing sales

  • Prior leadership experience an asset 

  • Demonstrated skills in customer business development and plan implementation

     

Education:


  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent years of direct related experience (high school + 10 years or similar)

* A valid driver’s license and proof of minimum level of insurance coverage and satisfactory driving record as required by the company.
