The Electricians are responsible to maintain the facility electrical system in good working condition with little to no supervision.
Essential Functions:
Plans work and needs little to no supervision; Able to prioritize work and schedule with department heads. Plan work ahead and order materials for the job. lead small groups and guide helpers to get the work completed. Maintain inventory for electrical supplies.
Able to troubleshoot and repair shorts and overloads in electrical systems for regular and high voltages. Able to bend conduit and pull required circuitry for equipment. Ability to troubleshoot equipment wiring. Diagnosing, repairing, replacing and programming of PLC’s, VFD’s, Motor starters.
Reads and understands wiring diagrams, wiring schematics, and blueprints.Assist in design and build of new rooms by code requirements for areas being built as needed.
Able to install and or rebuild/repair light fixtures, motion sensors and switches. Install outlets and making required wiring connections for 110 and high voltages. Able to Cut and thread piping. Able to solder and or crimp for splicing and repairs.
Record data in log book for Preventive maintenance and information on work orders. Ability to help write and modify current and new SOP’s Regarding electrical wiring and electrical safety.Follows all SOP’s, OSHA, and NEC Rules and keep updated of current changes.
Ability to wire, Maintain, and trouble shoot generators. To wire, maintain and trouble shoot UPS units and data lines.Ability to work on High voltage switch gear and panels safely with knowledge of the correct PPE and tools required.
Additional Responsibilities:
Work with outside vendors when needed.
Places orders and keeps general use materials in stock.
Education:
High School Diploma or GED - Required
Experience:
10 years or more experience in Electrical Construction or Facility Electrician Work is required.
Skills:
High and low voltage power transmission experience. - Intermediate
Electrical transformers, power distribution systems. - Intermediate
Electonical Automation field. - Intermediate
