Inside Sales / Customer Service Representative

We seek a self-starting, technical, driven individual who will work cooperatively with a sales team to maintain and grow existing business and assist the account managers to meet or exceed monthly sales quotas while increasing customer satisfaction. We are a growing company in the industrial and high technology markets and are looking for hard-working and skilled individuals.

Responsibilities

  • Generate new and repeat sales by providing product and technical information in a timely manner.
  • Determine customer requirements and expectations to recommend specific products and solutions.
  • Present price, credits, and terms in accordance with standard procedures of the company.
  • Assist sales team in obtaining accurate information from vendors relating to pricing, generalized lead times, shipment dates, and expected date of delivery.
  • Contact customers following sales to ensure ongoing customer satisfaction and resolve any complaint.
  • Capturing accurate and complete information in NetPlanner 360 system.
  • Manage time effectively, meet personal goals, and work effectively with other members of the sales team.
  • Maintain proficiency in using company issued computer and other common office equipment and software.
  • Follow company policies and procedures.
  • Always present a professional image to customers and vendors.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Qualifications

  • The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of proven experience in customer service, ideally in a service provider environment, and/or low-voltage systems installation.
  • Great phone presence as you will be doing business over the telephone.
  • Highly organized, great with time management.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, self-directed environment.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly proficient level of computer skills including MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook.
  • Proficient in understanding software solutions for quoting and client relations.
  • Decision-making, problem resolution, and creative thinking skills.
  • Able to multi-task activities with shifting priorities.
  • Honest, assertive, and systematic.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a group environment.
  • Great positive attitude.
