Regional Sales Manager - Western Territory at Vactor Manufacturing

Job Description:

Primary Responsibilities Include:


  • Champion the direct sales effort in assigned territory.

  • Generate direct sales and develop customers within specified territory.

  • Achieve product certification as required.

  • Train customers and other personnel in the company's product line.

  • Participate in operator and service training annually.

  • Attend Right Start training events quarterly.

  • Attend sales meetings as needed.

  • Attend and coordinate regional and national trade shows.

  • Recommend new product changes as well as other new product ideas.

  • Maintain up-to-date CRM logging, daily contacts, account contact and asset information, and sales opportunities.

  • Meet sales objectives and supply monthly and rolling 90-day New Business forecast based on customer interaction and CRM data.

  • Submit monthly accomplishment report.

  • Submit expense report on a timely basis.

  • Assist with development of competitive manufacturer's profiles and report on their activity.

  • Ensure that all business conducted in the region is consistent with the company's mission statement and standard policies and procedures (SPP).

  • Extensive travel required – 75%.

Requirements Include:


  • Bachelor's degree or applicable technical certification/experience preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required.

  • 3+ years of sales experience

  • Mechanical aptitude required

  • Effective communication style is required

  • High degree of motivation and initiative required

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office

  • Sound decision-making skills required
