Business Unit Description

NXP Global Sales & Marketing (GSM) is the Go-to-Market organization for NXP’s business units. We own the customer relationships and thus ensure that customers’ needs are met and NXP growth ambitions are achieved by identifying and creating opportunities for customers to innovate in focused markets using NXP’s diverse product portfolio.

NXP’s Sales and Applications Engineering Organization is looking for high-energy, competitive and self-motivated sales professionals who are interested in being a part of a talented sales team, engaging with customers in creating the latest technology.  

In our Mass Market Regional Account Manager role, you will:


  • Take complete business ownership for a select geographic region, including all mass market customers across all target vertical markets (smart home, industrial, consumer, automotive, retail, and medical)

  • Your mission will be to partner with distribution resources to identify new customer projects, propose technical solutions utilizing NXP products and services, manage negotiations towards WIN/WIN outcomes, and maintain support throughout the product development cycle.   

  • Develop a comprehensive account strategy to ensure NXP has frequent communication with critical decision makers within the customer and understands the customer’s critical priorities and technology needs for the future.

  • Responsible for all communication to/from the customer and also driving internal communication to key stakeholders inside NXP product lines. 

  • Work closely with local field applications engineering and product lines to provide elite technical service and responsiveness to customer concerns and priorities.

  • Work in partnership with franchised distributor resources to achieve all objectives. Accountable for all distribution engagement and performance in market.

  • Partner with local distribution branches to engage with end-customers to create and win mutually beneficial business.

  • Be measured on the growth of NXP sales and new design wins with your customer base, measured through local distribution partners.

  • Responsible for key customers based in the US – California – Los Angeles, Orange County, and San Diego area.

  • Is comfortable working in a target driven environment/working with targets (i.e. Revenue, Design-win, new projects/products/solutions, share of wallet, account productivity, market share, net promotor score) and exceed the quarterly targets

  • Tenacity - Not willing to lose any opportunity, no matter the odds of NXP winning or losing

Qualifications / Specific Knowledge / Skills:


  • BS in Electrical/Computer Science/Computer Engineering or MS in Electrical/Computer Science/Computer Engineering 

  • Minimum of 8 years work experience in semiconductor technical sales or field applications engineering

  • Ability to maintain technical expertise/competence with the ever-changing technology

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Well organized and good at time management

  • Enthusiastic, creative with a desire to learn about business and technical topics

  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment

  • Team player, and willing to help where needed within scope of the role

  • Strong problem-solving skills, Self-motivated and self-driven.

  • Willing to learn new processes and tools

  • Because the role requires regular travel, including frequent driving to offices, customer sites, and/or meetings at a variety of locations, candidates must have a current, valid driver’s license on or before their start date. Candidates must also have a reliable means of transportation.     There may be some air travel (majority domestic).

  • Home-based role, preferably in the Los Angeles metro area

The base salary range for this position is as mentioned below per year. We also provide competitive benefits, incentive compensation, and/or equity for certain roles.
Company benefits include health. dental, and vision insurance. 401(k), and paid leave. Please note that the base salary range (OR hourly rate) is a guideline, and individual total compensation may vary based on a number of factors such as qualifications, skill level, work location, and other business and organizational needs. This base pay range is specific to California and is not applicable to other locations. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range as of the date of this posting is:

$127,400 to $175,100 annually
