Job Summary

The Sr. Manager serves as a key technology leader with strategic responsibility for managing a budget, leading a team, and realizing a cross-functional roadmap to ensure the organization meets its goals. The Sr. Manager helps ensure technology processes are consistent, enabled, measured, and improved to drive quality in Technology Services. The Sr. Manager is also responsible for hiring, training, and leading a large team of employees and contractors, as needed, that understand and demonstrate the culture and values of Technology Services.

Key Accountabilities

• Manage the process of designing, developing, deploying and maintaining tools and processes to support operations for Technology.


• Lead team to document and educate users about relevant processes.


• Ensure alignment between processes and toolsets, modifying systems where needed to deliver desired results.


• Measure and improve process and tool maturity and compliance. 


• Oversee execution of operational activities and measure process quality and compliance (incident handling, process execution, etc.) 


• Establish roadmap to maintain currency, incorporate new features, and delivery TS objectives through technology solutions.


• Partner across multiple technology teams to identify dependencies, align roadmaps and deliver cross-functional value.

Education, Experience, & Skill Requirements

• Experience gained through college degree programs or certifications in Information Systems, Business, or Computer Science


• 12+ years of working in an IT environment


• 5-8 years of technology team management experience  (platform teams)


• Excellent interpersonal, communication and teaming skills.


• Ability to navigate technology environment and work effectively with multiple teams.


• Demonstrated ability to be trustworthy and dependable. 


• Ability to learn quickly, be self motivated to improve knowledge and tackle new challenges.


• Ability to prioritize requests to deliver highest-impacting items first.


• Articulate business value of technology solutions.


• Proven ability to develop team members.


• Hands-on ability in formulating roadmap and execution


• Familiarity of technology trends and ability to translate that to solve business problems

Key Metrics

• Team member engagement across technology department


• Tools adoption and usage, where appropriate


• Implement improvements that result in reduced operating or capital expense


• Implement automation that results in increased operational efficiency and decreased operational cost.


• Team member retention / development.

Job Description Key Accountabilities
• Apply understanding of financial principles impacting the applications supported by the team.
Sr Manager, Data Platform is responsible for : -
Cloud (AWS) platform enhancement, optimization & support, focusing on following services:
- EKS (Elastic Kubernetes Service), Helm Chart governance & Strategy, Containers governance and strategy
Elastic Search Elastic Cache SQS & MQ Cloud Networking - EC2, ELB, Security Groups etc.
Kinesis Data Stream/Kafka AWS Operation Optimization Programming infrastructure as code through use of AWS CFT, Terraform etc.
Experience in Linux Platform management, Boomi environment, API gateway. 
Exposure to CI/CD (Jenkins) preferred.
Automation of Application Life Cycle management and OS patching.
Exposure to data storage solutions like Snowflake, Postgres etc.
