The Senior Investment Operations Associate in Derivatives Servicing is responsible for providing operational, research and analytical support to PGIM Fixed Income business for derivatives products (i.e. Swaps, Futures, FX, Options, MBS, etc.).    

The team is responsible for the monitoring and settlement of daily collateral moves, interest, Swap payments, variation margin etc.) activities with numerous counterparties across multiple product types.  Provide support for trade confirmation and settlements functions with a focus on operational issues, as well as maintaining an open dialogue with Investment Teams, Custodian Banks, FCMs, Prime Brokers, Vendors, and Broker Dealers.

Job responsibilities may include: 


  • Verifying/validating periodic payments related to derivative products (i.e. swaps)


  • Fails resolution for all settlements (i.e. Collateral moves, interest, swap payments, variation margin)


  • Performing monthly collateral reconciliations against counterparties/banks to internal systems.     


  • Assuming ownership for any operational issues that are raised and providing resolution in a manner that is seamless regardless of which operational issues are impacted 


  • Anticipating issues that may adversely affect the operational support of all derivative products and taking action to reduce the risk of such occurrences 


  • Actively research/resolve discrepancies in key operational data points


  • Proactively seeking ways to improve current processes by leveraging the tools available to identify inefficiencies to reduce risk


  • Cultivating both internal and external relationships to ensure proper service levels are achieved and maintained for each fund supported   


  • Develop an understanding of the fixed income trading business and share knowledge with operations teams in order to increase service levels 


Requirements: 


  • Degree in Economics, Finance or Business preferred


  • Knowledge of derivatives and/or other fixed income, 5+ years of experience in financial services


  • Ability to organize, prioritize tasks and work in a deadline-oriented environment.


  • Solid understanding of application of business risk & operational controls


  • Able to multi-task and absorb information across a broad spectrum of products


  • Strong communication skills (written & verbal)


  • Detail Oriented
