Job Description

The Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland is a seeking a Senior Communication Coordinator in either our Cleveland or Cincinnati location. This role plans, coordinates, implements, and evaluates effective communication strategies, projects, and programs, specifically to promote engagement and understanding of Bank Operations Departments (LEU, Cash, & RESG).

Essential Accountabilities:


  • Works with Operations Stakeholders to develop their brands, educate their customers and highlight their strengths

  • Partners with Corporate Communications team to write and distribute communications to Bank customers and tenants

  • Assists in the planning and communication of Operations events and All Hands Meetings

  • Develops dashboards, newsletters, etc. to display performance metrics for Operations

  • Manages and updates internal and external webpages for Operations departments

  • Writes and/or edits communication deliverables for the Bank or department, across a variety of communication mediums

  • Coordinates the daily operations of messages and delivery tools designed to ensure that employees feel informed, engaged and safe

  • Advises Bank management and/or functional area(s) on optimal messaging strategies

  • Develops and implements project plans to support employee understanding and engagement

  • Develops and implements measurement strategies of communications tools and approaches

  • Develops and disseminates messages of high-priority information

  • Develops and maintains web content to keep information current and engaging

  • Performs other duties as assigned or requested

  • Adheres to the Bank’s attendance policies through regular and prompt attendance

About Shared Services

A newly introduced Shared Services team is responsible for coordinating business functions for the Bank’s operations business areas (Cash, Law Enforcement, and the Real Estate Services Group) across the District.  This high-visibility team will provide value by creating, organizing, and further establishing common processes and reporting across the three business areas in alignment with strategic and operational priorities.  The team will oversee financial analysis and business analytics, business relationship management, strategic planning, communications, hiring and onboarding, and diversity and inclusion.

Position reports to Business Relationship Manager over Shared Services.

Education and Experience:


  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, English, marketing, journalism, business

  • 5+ years of related experience

Knowledge Areas:


  • Advanced knowledge of project management

  • Advanced knowledge of program tracking, measurement and analysis

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft office, including SharePoint administration

Skill Areas:


  • Advanced written and verbal communications and multimedia communication

  • Advanced technical skills in social media, SharePoint and website administration Individual and team innovation and collaboration

  • Advanced problem solving skills and analytical skills

Employees typically sit most of the day, work with a computer and may answer/respond to phone calls. Physical movement consists of walking for meetings, breaks, etc. Ability to lift items weighing approximately 20 pounds on a limited basis is required. Employees may be required to travel by car/air.
