Job Description:

The Zumba Fitness Instructor is responsible for creating a safe, friendly, and helpful atmosphere for members participating in group exercise classes.

Responsibilities:

Provide excellent delivery of land group exercise instruction to all members.
Engage members to deepen their relationships in the Y cause.
Monitor and ensure safety of participants, staff and volunteers in the land group exercise class.
Monitor class attendance for data tracking.
Actively work to increase group exercise participation.
Mentor class volunteers as assigned.
Handle and resolve class concerns and informs supervisor of unusual situations or unresolved issues.
Stay informed of all program offerings, class scheduling, membership changes, policies, etc. and cross promote when appropriate.

Qualifications:

Group Exercise National certification (ACE, AFAA, ACSM, NETA, CrossFit or Foundations of Group Exercise at the Y (offered by ACE)).
OR a Certification from a nationally recognized organization for specialized classes, e.g. Yoga, Zumba, etc. (within 90 days must obtain National Certification above, except for CrossFit and Yoga) Experience teaching Group Exercise (one year minimum preferred).
Current CPR/AED Certification.


Schedule:
Approximate hours per week: 2 Schedule is Wednesday's from 1:00pm-2:00pm.
