What will I be doing?

As the Senior Manager of Category Management, Food & Beverage, you will develop strategies, plan, coordinate, direct, and control the purchasing functions for Food & Beverage products and/or services within a specified Hilton Supply Management (HSM) category module and on behalf of HSM program supported properties. Specifically, you will lead all aspects of the Produce, Dairy, and Eggs categories. You will also develop, evaluate, and monitor supplier relationships both domestically and globally, work with HSM counterparts by facilitating strategic supplier partnerships and contributing to contract negotiations in those global locations!

In addition, you will build programs in support of the Brand Managers, Operations Managers, and Field Teams and manage collaborative activities with the Brand Engagement and corporate Brand Food and Beverage teams.


  • Facilitate the purchase of quality products at the best value while meeting Hilton and HSM standards and operating procedures and ensuring continuous supply
  • Build and execute category strategies crafted to deliver relevant assortment, value, and continuity of supply
  • Integrate and align supplier and manufacturer programs globally with cross-functional teams at HSM International offices
  • Research and qualify products and suppliers for strategic partnerships to fulfill category initiatives
  • Communicate findings, conclusions, and recommendations to upper management
  • Manage the objectives of the department regarding product rationalization, compliance with brand standards, and continuity of supply
  • Develop Statements of Work or Scopes of Work (SOW), Requests for Information (RFI), and Requests for Proposal (RFP). Work with key partners and Legal to develop contracts on any exceptions to standard contract language
  • Analyze bids using in-depth financial analysis, document the cost-effectiveness analysis, and award the bids accordingly
  • Communicate the announcement of the successful bid and send confirmation letters to the companies that were not selected; incorporate the supplier contract information into a cross-referenced database
  • Manage and negotiate supplier contracts, and maintain contract files
  • Anticipate the need to develop new programs or refresh existing programs to keep current with industry trends
  • Collaborate with HSM International Operations teams on supplier and manufacturer program alignment.

To fulfill this role successfully, you should demonstrate the following minimum qualifications:

  • Five (5) years working in purchasing, procurement, and supply chain management
  • Two (2) years of Hospitality Industry experience

It would be helpful in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

  • BA/BS Bachelor's Degree
  • Seven (7) years of experience in Food and Beverage purchasing and supply chain management
  • Understanding of and working knowledge of eProcurement tools Coupa and Birchstreet
  • CPSM, CPM, or CHA certification

**This position will be Remote, except for within the state of Colorado.
