As the Team Lead - Direct Sales, you will be responsible for increasing revenues in select TDS wireline and cable operations. You will assist Direct Sales leadership with the mentorship and coaching of Direct Sales Representatives (DSRs) to meet and/or exceed their monthly sales and revenue targets, grow the customer base. You will assist in providing direction, day to day supervision, and hands-on training of staff members. You will also be responsible for an individual monthly sales quota in conjunction with providing direction to other sales representatives.

 

BendBroadband delivers broadband, fiber connectivity, cable television, and telephone services to commercial and residential customers in central Oregon. Through its Zolo Media division, the company operates KBNZ-TV CBS affiliate, KOHD-TV ABC affiliate, COTV11 and offers multiple video advertising, local advertising and viewing options for Central Oregonians. Responsibilities

    Maintain a personal monthly sales quota. Participate in community events with their team to promote and sell the company’s products and services and help with the set up and clean-up of events
  • Help hire and train new employees. Assist new hires during the on-boarding process as well as provide ‘best practice’ coaching for the DSRs on a regular basis. Assist with providing direction on roles and responsibilities, as well as company policies and procedures. Respond to DSR inquiries and provide guidance both in the field and in the office when challenges are encountered or arise

  • Submit daily/weekly reports to the Supervisor. Discuss the results of each DSR with the Supervisor and provide feedback on performance

  • Manage cancels and work with account representatives and sales administration on any details preventing a sale from being entered

  • Assist Supervisor with DSR issues surrounding operational processes

Qualifications

Required Qualifications 

  • • Associates degree (or higher) -OR- 2+ years professional work experience
    • 1+ years outside sales experience and/or sales coaching experience
    • 6+ months experience mentoring/coaching within sales

Other Qualifications 


  • Understanding of the cable industry, including products and services

  • Coaching and mentoring experience

  • Track record of success in sales

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to convincingly persuade others as evidenced in person interviews and via telephone

  • Ability to work independently as evidenced by identifying problems, gathering data, weighing the facts, consulting others as necessary, and making decisions.

  • Computer literacy (i.e., Excel, Word, email, Internet)

  • Ability to meet and exceed regular quota requirements
