Summary of Major Responsibilities

This position is field based.

 

The Pipeline Access Strategy, Senior Manager provides coding, coverage, payment, and policy research to assess and inform market access risks and opportunities, as well as overall access strategy support to Pipeline products.  The role leads and supports all access strategy responsibilities around payor messaging, payer product dossier development, payer conference messaging/presentations, and payor market research associated with the Pipeline business unit and Pipeline product offerings.  This role plays a critical role in supporting and driving strategy development around Pipeline COVID-19/infectious disease market access, both in short- and long-term.  This position is highly visible throughout the Company, and requires the ability to lead without authority, drive influence and ideas across internal and external stakeholders and work streams. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    Provide Market Strategy, Outcomes & Population Health (SOPH) support of Pipeline team needs, in conjunction with Director and other members of the SOPH team.
  • Conduct coding, coverage, payment, and policy research to assess and inform market access risks and opportunities for the Pipeline franchise portfolio.

  • Lead and/or support Pipeline training efforts to ensure all SOPH members, and others across the organization, are well equipped with knowledge necessary to support their respective roles.

  • Lead and support strategy development around Pipeline COVID-19/infectious disease market access, both in short- and long-term.

  • Lead, drive and support the development and implementation of internal and external advisory boards aimed to help drive strategy for Pipeline product adoption from a comprehensive access perspective, inclusive of coding, coverage, and reimbursement.

  • Drive clear and consistent communication of Pipeline market access needs across various cross-functional departments within SOPH and organization wide.

  • Develop and implement communication strategies for payor outreach around Pipeline products, including COVID-19/infectious disease offerings.

  • Attend and represent SOPH at internal meetings within Pipeline, as needed.

  • Support a teamwork approach engaging with various departments to support market access and reimbursement needs.

  • Express a learner mentality striving to become a product expert to support ASOPH initiatives in Pipeline.

  • Exude leadership qualities striving to support the growth of the ASOPH department.

  • Ability to support time-sensitive deliverables and projects outside designated schedule.

  • Ability to work on a mobile device, tablet, or in front of a computer screen and/or perform typing for approximately 90% of a typical working day.

  • Ability to work on a computer and phone simultaneously.

  • Considerable periods of time may be spent concentrating on and/or analyzing data.

  • Ability and means to travel between Exact Sciences locations, as well as in the field with market access and other remote teams.

  • Ability to travel 10% of working time away from work location, may include overnight/weekend travel.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field.

  • 8+ years of overall work experience in a related field; including sales, marketing, diagnostics, or pharmaceutical.

  • 4+ years of experience working in market access/reimbursement.

  • Strong knowledge of Commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid payer markets and how they operate in given geographies.

  • Strong knowledge of key health policy processes; such as CPT code creation and coverage policy development.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office to include Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

  • Demonstrated ability to perform the Essential Duties of the position with or without accommodation.

  • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications


  • MBA.

  • Diagnostics laboratory.
