Job Description:








ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :



  •           Supervises accounting staff including distributing and overseeing work assignments as well as training and coaching the staff and directing day to day activity.

  •           Completes journal entries and reconciles G/L accounts.

  •           Prepares month end closing including reconciliation of accounts, and the preparation of accruals, adjustments, and financial schedules.

  •           Monitors, reconciles and maintains integrity between general ledger module and other modules within the ERP system.

  •           Assists with preparing and collecting year-end closing work packages for external auditors and tax preparer

  •           Assists with the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.

  •           Ensure compliance with all accounting policies and procedures, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.

  •           Assists in designing, establishing, and maintaining the system of internal controls.

  •           Conducts oneself in accordance with Company’s Core Values.

  •           Other duties as assigned.


MIMIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:



  •             BS/BA in Accounting and at least 5 years of experience in accounting. CPA preferred.

  •             At least 1 year in a supervisory role.

  •             Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to train, coach, and direct employees.

  •             Ability to exhibit a high level of confidentiality.

  •             Ability to understand and monitor complex accounting activity and be detail oriented.

  •             Must have outstanding computer and technical skills including a proficiency in Excel and Access.

  •             Thorough understanding of GAAP, ASC 606, ASC 842, and systems of internal controls.

  •             Good written and verbal communication skills.

  •             Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

  •             Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.

  •             Well-organized with the ability to prioritize and delegate and problem solve.

  •            Must meet International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) as a U.S. Person.
