Experience: 4 years of experience with Civil Engineering or related. Requires skills and experience to include: Proficiency with Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT) design processes, preferences, standards and specification to oversee the production of ARDOT Plans and Specifications; familiarity with Bentley Microstation for production of CAD drawings used for the creation of Plan sheets; familiarity with Bentley Inroads for the production of Design output into the Microstation CAD environment; familiarity with Bentley OpenRoads Designer to use as an alternative workflow for the current and older Microstation/Inroads workflow; general knowledge of Excel and ability to quantity calculations and development; and general knowledge of Word for production and modification of specifications.

Job duties : With guidance from department managers, plans, directs, and coordinates activities of designated project to ensure that goals or objectives of project are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters. Reviews project proposal or plan to determine scope, timeframe, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of project. Establishes work plan and staffing for each phase of project, and arranges for recruitment or assignment of project personnel. Develops/implements project plans/methodologies for single discipline projects. Confers with project staff to outline work plan and to assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority. Directs and coordinates activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget. Reviews status reports prepared by project personnel and modifies schedules or plans as required. Prepares project reports for management, clients, or others. Develops and maintains client engagement to ensure satisfaction. Confers with project personnel to provide technical advice and to resolve problems. Coordinates project activities of government regulatory or other governmental agencies. Conducts safety meetings and training programs to ensure safety requirements are met. Generate and/or approve purchase orders, rebills, credits: review timesheets.
